UPDATE: AG Olens' lawsuit against the EPA is a clear conflict of interest and must be dropped immediately. From the AJC: "Olens’ wife Lisa has worked for Georgia Power since July 2010 and his financial disclosures indicate that he has owned stock with the utility company since his election. A spokesman for Olens declined to comment."
Tell Attorney General Sam Olens to drop his taxpayer-funded lawsuit against the Environmental Protection Agency. A majority of Georgians support the EPA’s Clean Power Plan to reduce carbon emissions.
“Attorney General Sam Olens: Stop using our tax dollars to sue the Environmental Protection Agency over its Clean Power Plan. We refuse to let you block this common-sense carbon reduction plan while protecting the financial interests of corporate energy giants.”

Attorney General Sam Olens is suing the Environmental Protection Agency over its Clean Power Plan to reduce carbon emissions. And he’s using our tax dollars to pay for the lawsuit.
Although 60 percent of all Georgians support the EPA’s Clean Power Plan, Olens is fighting to protect the financial interests of large energy corporations by allowing them to continue destroying the environment with no accountability.

The EPA’s plan calls for states to reduce carbon emissions from power plants by 32 percent below 2005 levels by 2030, and allows states flexibility in how they achieve this goal.
Instead of working on a plan to improve Georgia’s environment, AG Olens is fighting for big energy corporations on Georgia taxpayers’ dime.
